Merry Thanksgiving!

That’s how I was greeted by a new colleague yesterday. I was surprised because I didn’t even know it was Thanksgiving day so I didn’t know how to response.

“Thanks! But we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving like the Americans do but Christmas is coming very soon and that’s the most important celebration for us.” I finally responded.

“I did not ate turkey before, did you?” him agaim.

“I did but not during a Thanksgiving day. I have even tried roasting a turkey before. The taste is similar to chicken, only it’s bigger.”

“Refer to eating, it make me hungry now. I only ate a cake and a egg on morning.”

“I only had coffee because I wake up late. Hahaha :)”

“Before economic situation like now, every breakfast, I will ate two eggs, a bag of milk, and a cake, sometimes also add a ham.”

Then the conversation goes on and on until I finally found my exit.

Christmas is just around the corner. Which corner I don’t know where but a corner in a nearby department store has started parading Christmas decorations. Here are some of the photos I have managed to take last Sunday.

My wife wonders whether there would be Chinese people to buy these Christmas items but for my past year’s experience, that area was almost emptied before Christmas even that I can’t even find a red hat. There were Christmas rush on the 24th even for this non-Catholic country.
